No worries mate. Billy Slater is a top class rugby league player who comes from this region. He plays for Melbourne Storm and represents QLD in the state of origin series against NSW.

Re StateOfOrigin - I lived in Qld in the days b4 origin and saw how unfair the system was until Artie led the caintoads to their 1st win of the new "fair comp".
Billy Slater is an inspirational talent that reminds me of Grahame "Changa" Langlands who, despite an average body size, with sublime skill and instinct, showed the rugby league world what "sporting class" means.
What's happened since is epic considering that the player base that Qld has to choose from is a fraction of NSW resources have but quality is more important than quantity in rugby league.

Saying all that I think that the Cockroaches might have a really good chance with their new, so very important halves combo - Qld watch out!

For NSW to win they will have to overcome the ferocity of the Qld crowd who (those old enough) will still remember the bad old days.

If they do I will salute them, but unless their new halves fire like an inferno - bye bye Blues!

Thanks to those who nave liked the photo. My mate is about 15 likes behind the leader at this stage so we're trying to get a few more. If you haven't yet liked the pic please think about doing so. Here is a link to a picture of our new $2Million HQ, it was officially opened last Saturday. Before this we had an old school that was falling apart and full of asbestos and termite damage.
