State RTE Coordinators
« on: June 13, 2014, 02:17:44 PM »
State RTE Coordinators

We are implementing these informal roles with in the club to assist us with state RTE's. These members are active on the forum and in the past have been an invaluable wealth of local knowledge on ride routes and venue facilities to ensure successful RTE's in their respective states.

The role of the RTE Coordinator will be to research and compile their annual state RTE Callander with input from members so we can post an Annual RTE Calander on the forum and keep their state board active, the RTE Coordinator will generally be the member you can PM with any state related RTE questions about proposed rides or your ideas for future rides in that state. The RTE Coordinators will also carry with them a small selection from the OzSTOC shop,  OzSTOC business cards for re-supply and the OzSTOC Flag for their state.

The OzSTOC RTE Coordinators won't be able to attend every ride and may also elect a representative to be the contact person for a particular ride and transport the OzSTOC shop merchandise to the venue.

Please make yourself familiar with the member in your state and forward any ideas for future RTE's to them or discuss in the State boards.

By utilising these members and all our members collective knowledge we believe we can give OzSTOC members the best possible RTE experience.

Yeah this is by no means a one fit all solution.

Members are encouraged to offer up places to go, to become involved. So if you have somewhere in your state you think will make a great RTE. Let us know

We're just here as people who has some spare time to post the rides up on the forums and also to do the leg work.

Good one Yorkie and Pezz. May I suggest starting with a calendar of when some people can not attend. Like people who work Saturdays or Sundays or rosters for FIFOs.

Coordinators is the key word here  :thumbs  Everyone can still put up ideas, rides they are doing etc etc as that is what fills in the spaces between main events.

We seem to be getting a list of 'must do' rides during the year for most states, which is a great starting point.  If we can settle on a few of those 'classic' RTEs in advance those from further away can plan to get to some outside of their normal state or territory.  All good for meeting up with each other outside the national Rallies  :beer

Sounds great in theory but unfortunately rosters always clash.
What we are doing is putting up a few RTE's planned throughout the year to give us all something to look forward to and dates that we can work around. We will try and give a month or so notice or at least post at the beginning of the month the next planned ride. This way if we have a lot of people say they cannot make it then we can move date.

Remember that ANYONE can put up an RTE. If the planned dates for somewhere don't suit you then you are more than welcome (in fact you are encouraged) to put up an RTE on a date that is good for you  :thumb

Our State and Territory RTE Co-Ordinators do a fantastic job of researching and planning our clubs RTE's.....with the larger states of QLD & WA we initially adopted 2 RTE Co-ordinators for the larger geographical area & membership numbers, its now time to expand this into other states to lighten the load on the existing RTE Co-ordinators.

Welcome along Alans1100 in S.A, Ppopeye in Victoria and STroppy in NSW/ACT.

Your RTE co-ordinators are only as good as the information the wider membership supply them on future ride destinations......so don't keep them a secret  :p talk to the Co-Ordinators and put something together in your area......these guys are there to assist you  :hatwave

QLD: Shiney/Gadget/STimpy

NSW: Abe/STroppy

Vic: Marcus/ppopeye

Tas: Cooch

S.A: Stinkypete/Alans1100

W.A: Pezzz/Yorkie

NT: WendyL

NZ: RGardner

send them a PM with your ideas and discuss in your state/territory threads.....these guys will be putting the 2016 RTE Calender together over the next couple of months and would REALLY value your experiences and RTE ideas.

Our State/Territory RTE Co-Ordinators have produced a number of brilliant ride destinations throughout this year with a number still to come.

We have a small change in our co-ordinators for next year.

Abe (NSW) & Couch (Tas) have both elected to pass the baton. Thanks to both on behalf of us all for taking us to some great RTE locations.

The new Tasmanian RTE co-ordinator will be Diesel (Dave) once he has settled into the Tassie life style, Diesel is a great motivator and will no doubt be out exploring the magnificent roads of Tassie frequently with great food locations always high on the priority list.

Sicman (Tony) will be taking on NSW in conjunction with STroppy who is already in the role. Sicman is well travelled around NSW and is keen to show us some kitchens with kulture  :p so be prepared for rides to some really shady locations throughout NSW. Tony is one of our OzSTOC FB admins, he will retain the role but now also be ably assisted by some bloke called Streak (Graham).

Welcome Gents to the roles and we look forward to your RTE calendars for 2017.

Remember the RTE coordinators are their there to arrange the OzSTOC suggested RTE destinations but are only as proactive as the ideas, feedback and commitment from all the members.....so if you find a destination worthy of an RTE and even with Sh to take point on the arrangements, give them a shout and let's get it happening.

Cheers
