Caliper Mounts

Just noticed on my new acquired 93 ST that the left and right calipers have totally different mounting methods, my first thought was some PO has swapped a different year fork slider for some reason, looked at some pix on the net and it looks like its all legit so what's with the odd set up ?

The left is set up  for activating the anti dive system . This stops the front diving when brakes are applied.

Just as well you have the simple model.......

The 1996-2002 ABS have the anti-dive on the lower RH fork leg below the calliper.

The LH side has a secondary master cylinder which is attached (above) and activated by the calliper to operate the two outer pots on the rear calliper.

Confused yet?
