Highway Blades

This is more for info to Massif (simon) and the highway blades I made from Tipsies design. It shows the way they are bolted on and they fit the Police bikes but with the addition of a bar below they could be mounted on standard 1100's.
I still need to clean the bugs off from the Border Run










So they are winging their way to Moyston Victoria

thanks mate. I have one spare set left so if anybody is interested. Pezzz and Yorkie are running these and I believe they are happy with them. I have modified the design slightly to allow for short people so they dont go forward too far but sit square to your leg. I can give a cad drawing or I can make some more but 5 pairs seems to be minimum amount as welding costs a fortune.

I can attest to them being great. Nice to have extra leg positions on the long rides and a good way to get a breeze up the leg if warning up.

Greetings All
As advised to Leo & others at the gathering at the Stockmans Hotel (Texas) today (1st leg of the Inverell RTE)  Sandra & I came to a bit of grief last night on way to Texas as a result of attempting to dodge a roo, running off the road into loose gravel, tipping the bike on its side over an embankment and sliding until the bike and trailer came to a halt. All is good with us, damage to the bike was minimal, left hand wing cover to be replaced and a bit of paint to be touched up. All in all we consider ourselves very lucky. Other downside is that we missed having a feed at Texas Pub (my old stomping ground) and the Inverell RTE (our first). My question after all that is if were to fit a pair of Highway Blades do we also need to replace the Wing Cover.

Yes, the wing cover is cutaway to take the blade.

Glad all is well with you two and the bike. The bike is tough, and i guess you and Sandra are as well.

If you buy MCL Highway pegs they come with a pair of genuine Honda plastic covers laser cut to accommodate the new pegs.  They will also supply replacement covers or single pegs if one snaps off (usually from a tip-over when they're extended).
