SADDLEGEL RAW GEL PAD

Has anyone had any experience with these at all? I am looking for a temp solution for the IBA1600, as i am saving my pennies for the Russell Day Long, any thoughts or experiences out there?

Saddlemen Saddlegel Raw Gel Pad

Without question SaddleGel™ is the most important breakthrough in motorcycle seating in decades. This amazing product will totally change the amount of time you spend on your motorcycle. Every type of riding just got more enjoyable, from touring to dual sport to canyon carving and street cruising. When you throw your leg over your favorite motorcycle, you know you will be comfortable!

When it comes to motorcycle seating comfort, nothing compares to a Saddlemen seat with SaddleGel™. Whether you're looking for a large, touring seat for long-distance riding, or something low and slammed to the ground, SaddleGel™ gives you unsurpassed riding comfort. If SaddleGel™ isn't in your seat it can be on your seat. Saddlemen's original SaddleGel™ Gel Pads are available in three sizes to fit on top of your seat or anywhere else you want to use them.

Reduces Vibration, Eliminates Pressure Points by evenly distributing your weight across the surface of the seat, SaddleGel™ absorbs and eliminates the extra pressure that is normally experienced at hip bones and the tail bone. These pressure points or "hot spots" create a loss of blood flow, causing discomfort. By increasing circulation, comfort is enhanced.

It's true that SaddleGel works wonders for seating comfort, but Saddlemen doesn't stop there. Our integrated seat designs include a selection of materials that work together to make our seats as comfortable as possible, while still giving your bike show-quality style.

Features:
Particularly good in low profile seats
Superior to foam alone
Floats rider on seat
Eliminates road shock and vibration
Dissipates weight evenly-no hot spots
Maximizes time in saddle
Exclusive composite construction. Each individual component work together as a system
Sizing Information:
Medium: 9”L X 7 ˝” Rear W X 5 ˝” Front W
Large: 10” L X 13 ˝” Rear W X 7 ˝” Front W

My boss at work has a covered gel one (brand ?) on his Tiger.

He said that you (when not riding) have to cover your seat in summer or the gel gets hot and it "upsets my tackle".

Otherwise he is happy with it.
At my age " getting lucky" is remembering what I came in the room for ;)

Air Hawks do nothing for me unfortunately, i find them really uncomfortable and unstable, i have tried all sorts of air levels in them, which is a bugger as that is what i would rather do

I'd like to try an Air-hawk for myself.  The Corbin, while a vast improvement, still needs more padding.

Not the gel pad you show but we have had their 1100 gel seat for nearly the last four years. Heaps better than OEM and even better with our sheep/goat skin seat cover.

Overview.

Not wanting to leave performance behind when they ride big miles, many riders have chosen to use performance-oriented Sport Touring motorcycles in place of larger, comfort-oriented touring bikes. In many cases the seats on these versatile motorcycles don’t live up to the other performance aspects of the class. In response to this need, Saddlemen’s STEALTH™ sport touring seats were launched. The STEALTH™ family of seats offer comfortable, sporty, long-distance seating, with slightly lowered sitting position and carefully designed contours for both driver and passenger. STEALTH™ seats offer substantial driver backrest/lumbar support, perfect for long trips and aggressive riding, and a narrow nose  allows improved leg positioning when stopped, for better control. SaddleGel™ increases comfort and circulation by reducing tailbone pressure and damp numbing road vibrations. Specialized covers further add to riding comfort and control, while adding a sharp sense of style to the motorcycle.

As for getting the gel hot even our old OEM seat would do that on a hot sunny day

I had a saddlemen seat, its been modified to suit me, and I got rid of the gell pad for me (its still there for the passenger)  It got extremely hot in the summer sun when parked all day, and helf the heat for ages. In fact it felt like my bum was burning for the whole ride home from work (30 min). After the rework, the seat was hot for a minute or or so and was then fine, as Vinyl and foam dont store the heat.

We have the seat cover on in summer unless it raining so we've never had an issue with a hot gel seat.
