A new ride for me at last!
« on: October 10, 2014, 03:44:34 PM »
well finally I have saved enough money and have researched and found a Steed.  :runyay :runyay :runyay

I will be taking over the legacy left behind by BlueHonda.    :thumbs

Have paid a deposit and the balance will be paid on Monday ..... then a trip from Brisbane to Port Macquarie to pick up the STeed followed by a nice long hiway trip back to the sunny coast followed a few weeks later by a more permanent trip up to Townsville.

So in closing I guess I now need to say that Blue is Best.    :rofl :rofl :rofl

An excellent trade for all concerned.
You won't regret the acquisition.  A good looking reliable bike with a proud heritage.
I have a soft spot for the colour blue, but red is the Honda colour, so that suits me.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Well done Spanner,

Had the pleasure of meeting the gr8 man (Brad) who owned and maintained that bike to mechanical perfection. A funtastic buy. Sounds like u r handy with the mechanicals as well.

If I recall correctly, Brad had a black 1300 and a blue 1100 - wonder what happened to the black one - anyone know?

Anyway, Spanner - good luck to you and happy riding - but Honda red is best!  :hatwave
