Thanks Peter, i'll let you know closer to the date. I'm still organising everything.
At the moment i'm doing a IBA1600 on the Friday departing midnight to Toowoomba or Warwick depending on how well my day goes. Pick the trailer up on the sat morning, then start to make my way home again, and the RTE sounded like a nice detour for that trip as it will be a different route to any previous trips home i've done.

Hey Shiney and Gadget, Brucey here....I'm a new year and am looking to meet up with all the ST enthusiasts!! I am slowly working out how to navigate this site....slowly 😀 this RTE scheduled for 08/08 has the initial meeting point at Mooloolah and then the ride up to Montville along the Blackall Range and then we all go on our way.....is that what I'm reading? Sorry for my inability to clearly understand first pop, just thought I would have my thoughts confirmed. Cheers, Brucey

The RTE on the 8th, Mooloolah Cafe is the destination. How you get there is up to you.

Closer to the date, someone might put up a meeting point for the ride there. I'll probably head up Old Gympie Road all the way to Landsborough and then up Tunnel Ridge Rd to Mooloolah or I might go via Woodford and Peacheaster on the way there and come back via Gympie Rd.

Once there, it is not uncommon for small groups of people heading in the same rough home direction (sometimes even the long detour home) to ride together.

As a lunch RTE, the long road there and short one home is not uncommon, unless your name is saaz.

Hi Brucey,

A RTE (Ride To Eat) is only a destination for us to meet up and have a feed and (most of the time) doesn't include an organized group ride.

My lovely lady wants to do the Ekka on Saturday as well so my plan is ride to Mooloolah have lunch then ride to the Ekka this will have the added bonus that on the bike she will be somewhat limited by how much rubbish she can buy & carry home.

I'm planning on leaving my place around 10, then heading up through Woodford (possible coffee stop at the bakery), then up to Mary Caircross Park via Stanley River Road, then down to Landsborough and on to Mooloolah.
