Jaycar has some of the male and female parts to make your own leads, plus a powerlet to cigarette plug adaptor. Look for the Hella type plug, as that is a more generic name. Some farm equipment places might also have them, as in the US that is where they go as powersports equipment uses them.

Yes, Merrit plug is another name. If you want a connection that clicks in positively they are the go. The external rider and passenger plugs on the Trophy are that sort, very secure for things like heated gear or anything that you want clicked in.
