After having gone down to Adelaide on the 22nd to visit one of our friends I was asked to go down again to help with getting ready for a crane lift for a carport roof.
This trip meant a solo trip so I decided to take a couple photos of the places we normally just ride past.
First few are at Terowie which is about 20 km from home and we would normally by pass the town. Some one has used a little junk and created is known as Terowie Tin
Next up is the old copper mine at Burra taken from one of the look outs.
Water filled mine pit
The remaining mine buildings
The bike in the look out car park in front of the above two pics
Then down to our rest stop when we decide to go into the town and not go along heavy vehicle by pass road.
Burra Creek.
This part has been drained and cleaned out and widened and park put on the other side. The creek then goes to Burra Gorge.
I was going to make a stop at Porter Lagoon as after recent rainfall it is now full but no where decent to park an 1100.
http://goo.gl/maps/1Pe5WThat's the pics for on the way down but we had to clear plant growth around the carport roof which was taken off several years ago so a caravan could be put in the back yard. The pillars for the roof have finally been raised and a crane I coming on Thursday to put the in need of repair roof back up.
The building in the back is a double garage and underneath has a dungeon (well it could have been) for a model railway in it.
This side needs repair.
For the trip down I managed just over 18 k/l (15.1 Litres) for 274 km and an estimate from the fuel gauge after getting back home suggest a similar k/l figure
