Wounded NINE times including at Passchendaele. A career from Private to General. Highly decorated including a Knight in the Order of the Crown of the Kingdom of Belgium (Officer).
Possibly his many adventures were the result of his mixed Belgian & Irish ancestry?
Hard to believe! Move over Audie Murphy!
