I agree with Skip.  Have had 90degree steel valves for several years.  The packaging did warn about being unsuitable for high speed riding.  I would be a bit worried about aluminium stems from a strength point of view.

It's pretty substantial ally. 
Being aluminium, they solve the centrifugal force issue that affects the steel ones.
