G'day STriders,
2 exchange 3XL jackets turned up coz the message to stop the second one coming didn't reach the sender in time, but never mind coz the 2nd 3XL will go to A2Z who also lives in the Illawarra Gong zone. When he returns from the U.S. in March, he will try it out.
I'm a real admirer of the jacket's design and it has been worth the wait thru the myriad of machinations that have been orchestrated by ST2UP and Zen and others to get as many of the original jackets to satisfy original orders.
The zip vent system is wonderful and the other day on the way home from a scenic fresh air ride to one of the many lookouts in the Gong area I sucked my guts in and the vents flooded the jacket with fresh air that I have never experienced b4 on a motorsickel, (that just made me think - ouch - I can't ever remember riding a motorsickel with just a t-shirt on - and I had years of riding in BananaLand) but that doesn't mean a lot really coz my memory is so suss anyway). So if I keep working hard at my latest landscaping project at home, a score of those waistline centimetres might be burnt off and I won't have 2 suck in so much to get that wonderful windrush. Who knows, I might get 2 2woomba yet despite my long distance woes.
Another thing I really like about the jacket is the ability to use just one rubber coated stud to secure a pocket with my reading glasses, mob phone, keys, wallet etc and when needed r so easy 2 get at quickly. The zip can be reliably left open. Mind u, thé other day I thought I put the dragon keys in one of those pockets without checking that the zip was open and later when on the way home a lovely lady came over and said "Are these yours dear?" and I immediately recognised them and even tho I have taken precautions against the mishap of lost keys I need to make sure the pocket zip is actually open.
But what a gr8 jacket. Just have a 2XL to find a home 4 now. Otherwise, "It's off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of OZstoc".
