We have a lovely old lady driver in town.
« on: February 11, 2015, 01:02:25 PM »
must be around 93 years old.
..has a powder blue Volvo sedan, with a pillow behind her back so she can reach the pedals.
Her seating position reminds me of a Harley rider with ape-hangers, as she peers through the steering wheel...
Drive-Through 'Fast food' confuses her... by the time she negotiates the contents of her bag, finds her purse, and pays for her food, ...its cold!
So is every one elses parked in line behind her.
Volvo Winker operates continuously, because its a handy place to hang her bag.
She drives so slowly, that she just got home from the Boxing Day sales!
Sometimes it takes her 3 changes of the traffic lights to negotiate an intersection.
I am extremely pleased that there is only one traffic light controlled intersection on our main street.
I was caught behind her on the main street one day, so I cut around the block to get ahead.
Two days later when repeating the trip, I was stuck behind her again, three blocks further up the street.
Everytime she is at the supermarket, she buys a weeks groceries, but throws a lot out when she gets home,
because its past its 'use by' date.
Last time she took her car for a twelve month service, the odometer had only increased by 39 Km.
She got stuck on a roundabout for 4 hours the other day, because she couldn't remember which was her exit.  :rofl :rofl :crackup

... and RTA still issue her with a drivers licence?  :|||| :||||

I'm sure the Mods have told you a million times not to exaggerate!      :-(((
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
