Why cant' I post photos?
« on: February 16, 2015, 07:05:11 PM »
Why cant' I post photos in either a new post or replying to an existing post?
Even when I resize them down to 300kb.  The forum lets me compose the post, add photos, but a little while after I click POST it resets to a blank new post.
I used to be able to do it but something has changed and I havn't twigged to what it is

Create a ImageShack account and upload a picture. It creates the forum link, paste it into your forum topic - Done.
Couldn't be easier...

Go to www.imgur.com

make an account, I use imgur because it's fast

Once done, click on upload images

Select your images, which it will upload and you'll see another screen like this.
You'll get another screen where you can make albums etc if you like or just straight upload.

Then past you links into the forums wrapped around the [ img]image tags[/img]

So your forum post will look something like this below

If you selected the BBCode (message board & forums) you'd only need to copy and past the link........no need to type in the IMG bit as it's already there.

It's the type of link I use from Photobucket

Hhmmmm, does this method actually display the image in this forum or just a link for people to click on which then displays the image? I have that many accounts for things that I may use once or twice and never again so I am keen not to create another one.
I notice some people can do it so there must be a way.
I could do it in the past but something is stopping me now.

It displays in the forum... like how you see my post with the images...

I don't know why the attachment option is not working for you I have always had a hell of time using that trying to get them down to the file size limit is a pain in the arse.

Do it the why I showed you and you'll be fine
