..but on a whim,  I decided to de-bug my screen, and give the bike a bucket wash.

THEN I noticed the threads showing on the rear tyre...I knew it was due for replacement shortly, but thought I might get a couple more weeks out of it?
I guess a phonecall later this morning to order some new rubber. ++

Threads bad, the tyre may last til you get to the tyre shop...

PR4 GT if you can afford it, it feels great.

The rear tyre on mine has just made it to the wear bars on the centre tread and I'm having second thoughts about taking it to Port Pirie tomorrow. Should be ok if I leave the trailer home.

Wear bars will get you to Port Pirie.
It's a question of whether they get pinged by an inquisitive Constable.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I  know, I know... 2.15 am isn't the greatest time of the morning, but on a whim,  I decided to de-bug my screen, and give the bike a bucket wash.

Reminds me of this joke...

My neighbour came banging on my door at 2.15 this morning.  I think that was bloody inconsiderate.

Luckily I was up playing my bagpipes at the time.

Replacement Michelin is unavailable for 3 weeks... am having a Dunlop fitted next Wednesday.  Until then the bike will be resting on the sidestand, as it is too far gone to be trustworthy. 400k trip last weekend was the last nail in the coffin.
