Event Marshalling Cycling Queensland
« on: March 16, 2015, 10:51:21 PM »
Hi All,
I am attempting to gauge the interest in riders participating in three cycling events in Queensland over the coming months.
I am not in full possession of all the details however this is what I know currently;

Motor Marshall are required for the three rounds of this years Queensland Road Team Series
The events are:- Round 1) In and around the Lockyer Valley on Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19th of April (206kms)
                           Round 2) In and around the Logan Area on Saturday and Sunday the 2nd and 3rd May (121kms) and
                           Round 3) In and around the Kingaroy Area on Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st June (226kms)
Note: These are all team events for elite cyclists.

Cycling Queensland will cover the cost of;
Fuel, meals, and overnight accommodation if required.

All Moto Marshalls must have a full QLD motorbike licence, current first aid certification, comprehensive insurance and a road worthy bike.

If interested please let me know by the  28th of this month.
If I have enough interest I will organise additional opportunities.
Regards,
Adrian.

I've done it before, but First Aid Cert wasn't required then.
That's the only disqualifier for me.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hey, I'd be interested. I renewed by First Aid and advanced resus last year so should all be good.
