...All done...

Checked lube, checked drive rubbers, bearings, rear disk showing some signs of wear, will replace later, rear brakepads about 50% worn... will check next service.

All good.

Now to get some miles in, before I am admitted to hospital tomorrow.. damn it!... its raining!

Not a real lot of "twisties" in SA.   :grin

A lot of hwy runs, Brian. But 20k is a good life for a bike tyre, even if it was shredded down to cords. That tyre lasted around 16 months.
The two patches of cords showing may have been caused by avoiding furred grasshoppers?

Trailer does add a little and most bends in the roads around here are 85 kph plus unless we go to Port Augusta then we have a few down to 35/45 kph.

I do tow an Elite camper now and then. The last trip was up,to the sunny coast and back via the inland route. Other than that, all touring when I can. It feels good to have a new tyre on though. The bike shop lost one of the magnets in the disk for the cruise control. Found it when I noticed the ST would hold cruise and then a crunch in the rear somewhere. Turns out, there was the magnet ontop of the rear disk pads. Damaged the magnet and pads. The shop replaced the pads and magnet for me and I was on my way. Without issue or fuss. They were great.

20K on the one set of tyres IS excellent result.... I used to struggle getting 8K when I had my ST. I vaguely remember being told off by a couple of ulyssian for having a bit of canvas showing ..... Wasn't my fault I just didn't notice ..... I rode home rather then go for the day ride then on the next business day I was off to get new rubber rings..... And don't new tyres feel sooo much better
