Occasionally while riding, I see a taxi, or a bus, or a car, or pedestrians who are about to cross in front of me.
If there is time and room, I often ease off the throttle, and wave said vehicles or pedestrians to 'go ahead' and cross in safety.
Often a cabbie is trying to merge with the traffic from parked and I always wave them ahead, traffic permitting.
A simple, tolerant, gesture.
At 3pm today there was a knock at my door, and a cab driver was standing there. He said that he had made a few enquiries among other drivers, and general consensus was that I am always courteous, always wave to the cabbies, and as a gesture of appreciation from them they have offered to shout me to dinner at one of the local hotels, at a time and date that suits me.
I think that these guys are fantastic, to come up with an idea like this.
