US 2012 ST1300 model
« on: February 28, 2012, 07:26:12 PM »
I was looking a 1300 picture and came upon this.

The US has 2012 version (released  December 2011) of the 1300 so I checked I checked Aussie Honda site and we still have 2010  release.

http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/motorcycles/2012models/2012-Honda-ST1300ABS.htm

and from a US Honda dealer who has both 2010 and 2012 plated models with a $2000 price difference

http://powersports.honda.com/2012/st1300.aspx

Makes you wonder.

In all honesty I have had a look at the 1300 a few times, but for me everything has to work and the panniers just suck. Maybe a small thing for some, but I know how good it is to have panniers that work, like on the ST1100, the BMW's, kawas, yammies and the like. That square kinda shape just seems to have the goods.

I'm not getting rid of my 1100 anytime soon though out of interest I did look at one a couple years back while I was getting a tyre change.

Yes I would quite happily keep my 11 but the thought of a 13 under the covers regularly enters the thoughts :think1 :think1 :think1

Ah, Tipsy- "under the covers"??

Just what were you  :think1 of?

Very happy with my 1100.

They will need to make an ST1600 before I would think about upgrading.

With all the comments about the demise of the 1300 it seems we've got it at least for the remainder of this year if US model release is anything to go by.

There's nothing wrong with an 1100........but there's even less wrong with the 1300 :grin (including the panniers!!)
There are many paths to the top of the mountain.....but we all need to find our own way!
