Now thats a beauty, define loud.....  What I call loud is thought by some to be a sociable level.

Not the case in WA that I am aware of

Brock, if they wanted to get picky in WA (not unusual) it would like many other states where not specifically referred to a sat nav,  It is the drivers' responsibility to ensure they have an unobstructed view of the road., this is the one commonly used for anything hanging from rear view mirrors and the like. I suspect more and more states will slowly catch up with technologies and add ons in cars as they are trying to with motorcycle helmet add ons at present
One day you will wake up and there won't be anymore time to do the things you've always wanted so do them NOW!!!
Remember there are 7 days in a week and Someday isn't one of them!

Thanks BikeBear for clearing that up, however what I hearing is that the bulk of the information is correct just somebody may have taken a few liberties and added a fair bit of embellishment... Makes for a far more interesting facebook post

Which raises the question, how do you keep up with the changing road rules? As far as I am aware there doesn't appear to be any website that you can go to and the Road Traffic Management Act only appears on the web infrequently and usually months after a change has occurred.

I only found out recently that there no longer exists measurements for no parking either side of a bus stop.
I always try to obey the law  o:) and they say ignorance is no excuse, but please don't hide the rules then.

Whilst on the subject of QLD Police I was having a coffee at Maleny last Thursday when I observed an unmarked Kawasaki GTR1400 pull over an errant driver. The GTR had slimline red & blue lights on the rear rack & in the fairing, the police officer was dressed in black with QLD police isignias at his shoulders. You certainly would not recognise him as a police officer coming up behind or towards you.

People are getting jumpy about any bike that looks a bit official.  My driving lights on Police brackets and white helmet get nearly as many brake lights as I used to get on the ex-Police ST1100.
It's getting so you don't know who's who.
I know, I know.  Just don't ever do anything wrong and they can't touch you.
Well, not for now, anyway.

If you look closely you can see that he is wearing the normal motorcycle uniform, just the bike is unmarked.

The two below links are to the Qld Act and Regulations and can always be accessed from Qld Govt website. I would expect other states can be accessed by serching for their legislation pages.

Granted, however as I have mentioned before they are posted very infrequently and are never updated. These for example do not contain any of the recent Motorbike law changes.

OK you smart people out there - what about an app that allows you to bring up the relevant traffic law and applicable fine when the local plod (no offense) pulls you over. I have had incidents where I have been told that had broken the law and was then quoted a regulation that doesn't exist or no longer exists.
