I have been to a few car drag meets, and they are just so much better when at the track. Door slammers, hot road cars, all are great. Not as boring as you might expect.  Victor Brays door slammer is just so bad to listen to, so amazingly fast, the ears hurt and it feels wonderful

At live drag meets, there is nothing to compare to a double A gasser when they fatten up the mixture and the ground begins to shake and raw tears come to the eyes from the methanol fumes.

Got a good laugh at a meeting at Calder Dragway some years ago, when car burglar alarms in the carpark 100 metres away were triggered due to the ground shake as the AA gassers fired up.

You HAVE to, just once in your life, visit a Dragway to realise the full effect.
