A place I might stay and eat out at
« on: June 09, 2015, 08:57:17 PM »
Since I plan on doing the clockwise lap around in August, and just having watched Masterchef, I think I might stay around this area for a few days http://nunu.com.au/

I want to have a decent look at Cooktown and Cairns, so may need to keep my strength up. If anyone wants to contribute to breakfast, lunch and dinner, please feel free to contact me  :eat

It looks like one of the few places where I could fit in three courses.
Eat slowly- every bite is costing a packet!
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I think Reef House at Palm Cove has better accommodation and a much more reasonably priced restaurant for all your meals.
It was set up and owned by a Brigadier years ago (I forget his name) and one had to wear a dinner suit to dinner.
I'm pretty sure it has changed hands at least once and I doubt the previously strict dress rules are still current.
Take a pair of your black stockings (no holes) if you want to swim in the ocean.

I wouldn't eat there as there is leaves and flowers and muck fallen onto the plate.  :o

I threw out my last pair of stockings a while ago, so would have to go asking for some....
