Pannier for NZ Gent
« on: June 24, 2015, 04:12:17 PM »
Ladies & Gents - This is a question from the OzSToc Facebook forum :-

Hi All, Recently I managed to lose my left pannier on my 2004 Candy Red (dark red/maroon) ST1300 ABS. It sounds stupid I know, but it works out the lock wasn't latching properly and I had no easy way of knowing that. So I am on the hunt for a replacement. I have been quoted $2.5k NZ$ for a new one which is an insurance claim with a $1k excess! Can anyone help me with where I could go for a replacement at a more reasonable cost - either new or 2nd hand that would be prepared to ship it to New Zealand for me? I would appreciate any help from anyone. Regards Adrian Douglas (DougieNZ)

Your thoughts so we can help Adrian out?
Cheers
Tony

Hi Guys,

Sorry for not posting earlier, but I didn't realise my joining registration had been approved (it may have been sent to my Spam folder by mistake).

First and foremost thanks Sicman for all your help and for acting as go-between for site posts - and thanks everyone also for the suggestions. I did look at the US option, but when you add Duty (GST) and painting (they didn't have the candy red option) it took me well over my insurance excess. So last week I put in an insurance claim.

Sorry Crocman I cant help with your problem - funny we have opposite sides to sort out. You may want to look at the US option in this thread, as i am pretty sure they did silver?

Regards to All - and thanks again

Adrian (DougieNZ)
