Yesterday afternoon (17.08.2015) when I was heading north bound on the Deagon Deviation part of the Gateway Motorway, I saw a white car racing up the left hand merge lane from Depot Rd. I could see they were aiming for a small gap in the traffic in the left lane and noticed the bonnet had a buckle in it from a previous accident. For some reason, this made me extra cautious as the left lane was moving slower than the right and I was lining up to be very close to them once they had completed the merge onto the left. Well it is just as well I was ready with the thumb on the horn button and both brakes at the ready, because almost without pausing in the key lane they stayed to move into my lane with me just about level with the driver's side back door.
The quick double blast of the twin air horn soon had her back in the left lane, and frantically mouthing "Sorry, I didn't see you" several times. That would because the thick coke bottle glasses wearing woman, had failed to shoulder check or even bothered to check her mirrors. I was watching her mirrors and her head and she was just looking straight ahead, didn't flinch before changing lanes.
Be careful out there, circumstances can change in an instance.
