Motorcyclists' Survey- QLD especially
« on: September 02, 2015, 04:46:57 PM »
If you'd like to contribute your wisdom to the Queensland government's planning for motorcycle safety, go to

https://www.getinvolved.qld.gov.au/gi/consultation/2654/view.html

It's specifically about licensing.  Some of the ideas floating around are very restrictive.
Might be worth considering.  At least they're asking for input.
Survey closes Sunday 6th September.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Looks like they want to do what they're doing in SA. I think it costs about $600 before you can even get to ride on the road in SA. not to many 16 year olds can afford that.

They can still take pillions once off of L plate in SA even with the Rider Safe course rule changes that came in years ago.

That's good that they're asking for feedback, hopefully it's not just an exercise in 'appearing to care'. Some interesting questions that could lead to lively debate around a few drinks, I know I'd be up for that!
