Proud mum moment....

I just received an email from the kids' school advising that Danae (Blue Owl) has been awarded an academic scholarship for next year.  That's now both kids on academic scholarships  :runyay

I am proud as punch of both Danae and Alex, they are amazing young people  :Blow

Congratulations Blue Owl, and to Wendy of course for raising such a lovely and accomplished daughter.   It's quite fulfilling and "smug-making" as a parent when the kids turn out OK   :thumb

And another one.....

Alex and Danae joined St John cadets early this year.  They've really enjoyed the training, and the first aid duties they've attended.  On Monday night, they had their annual inspection and awards night.  Being first one, we certainly weren't expecting them to be receiving any awards, how wrong could we be.



Alex was awarded Cadet of the Year, and Danae received the award for Most Outstanding Contribution to the Division.

Following on from this, Danae was awarded the Middle School Leadership Award at the school awards night last night.

Makes all the effort worthwhile...
