Sweden is moving to a six-hour working day

Seems opposite to what they do over here........

Many businesses in the country are having employees work fewer hours with the goal of becoming more productive. The move also comes in a bid to boost workers’ private time with family.

Let's hope it doesn't catch on here.
How on earth will the unions be able to persuade their members to work 6 hours a day?  :Stirpot

Without your left hand it will take 6 hours for your lunch. Nice to see you kept some humor in your misery.

We work 12hr shifts no meal break eat on the run
6 hr shifts would double our work force
It would be great to do that till I retire
I would vote for  that  :like

It's forward thinking  ..... it will increase the number of placements and therefore reduce unemployment, increase productivity, lengthen life span and improve health. I say yes it's a good thing.

Local workers here at the aluminium smelter work 12 hour shifts, but only for 3 days a week. (36 hour union week... and 4 days to sleep it off)...  AND they get paid meal breaks!  We refer to them as 'veges', because they look like zombies after 3 days...

Poor sods... and to think when I was younger, we worked 12 hours 7 days rotating shiftwork, and were expected to do overtime 2 days /month when we were rostered off?

Early 70's working on offshore oil rigs we worked 12 on, 12 off for 9 weeks, then had a 5 day break and back into it again for another 9 weeks then had a two week break.
