Hi Stimpy, count me in for this one. What time were you thinking of leaving Alex Hills? I am thinking of kicking off about 6am and head out through Yatala, Beaudesert and Boonah then pick up the hwy from Aratula south. To finish the day off I'm thinking maybe a run down the Bruxner and home via Bonalbo and Woodenbong.

I am planning on heading off around 7am.Coming off shift work i am stuffed but can't get to sleep any earlier than midnight so the later the start the better.I will head off via the logan motorway onto the cunningham with the cruise control set to boring

No worries Duncan, I'll leave you to that ride. I'll do my best to make my route a little more interesting than just the slab, although that's exactly what I'll be doing from Aratula out. See you out there. I'm heading off about 6am to allow time for a coffee stop along the way.

Carrol and I have made it home safe after an awesome day out

We left home just before 07:00 and returned just after 17:00

It was a nice ride there.
We made it through all the working people traffic (thankfully lane filtering is legal and the cagers are starting to leave space for the bikers

) then out on the highway after a while the traffic died away

We had a rest stop for 5 at Warwick then headed onward, catching up with STimpy and his crew after a while then followed them the rest of the way to the RTE.

It was amazing to see so many people had been able to make the Tuesday RTE and everyone seamed to have a great time

I'll put up some video from the ride later

A big thank you to everyone that made it today,it was a fantastic turn out for a tuesday.

A great day. Thanks STimpy for organising a great mid week RTE, I think approx 20 turned up for a great get together
I enjoyed going to Wallangarra as I had in the past driven train there and shunted in the yard so it brought back a few memories

Well I can recommend stopping at the Wallangarra railway station for lunch, excellent food, well priced, and really good service.

it was fantastic to see everyone, if only for a short while (i was fashionably late)

Grabbed some photos at a few landmarks along the way, the big apple, random dinosaur, and a mini pyramid which was really cool!

Thanks STimpy for organizing get together. Turned out to be perfect riding weather. I left home at meringandan at 7am and had a leisurely cruise down to Wallangarra, stopping at Allora, Warwick and Stanthorpe. Followed Streak part of the way back and learned about the back way from Warwick to Allora. The southern downs is a very pretty place to travel through.

Great idea these mid week RTE's. Thanks for organising it Duncan.

It was great to catch up with those that were there. Heading home I enjoyed a great trip down the Bruxner Hwy to Casino and home via Summerland way to Woodenbong and then Mt Lindsay Hwy to Rathdowney and eventually home. There was very little traffic all the way and it was one of those days were the weather was glorious for riding and I felt as if I was one with my bike. It was a 670k most enjoyable day
