Favour urgently needed
« on: June 01, 2016, 06:07:44 PM »
Is anyone near Traralgon who is willing and able to look at an ST1300 for me, please?

PM me- I'm standing by the computer wringing my hands...     :eek

Hi Bill
I am having trouble trying to PM you. I would suggest that Hackle is a reliable choice to look at the bike as I am unavailable until we return from the FarRide to Moree
Cheers Rex (aussiexs)

Dunno what's happening with the PMs- just getting my PMs quoted back to me.   :crazy

No sweat Rex.  Good old Denis is having a look tomorrow.  Also have Jonno offering on standby, as well as Single.
Lots of good people around here.     :thumbs

Biggles and aussiexs, have you deleted your old messages lately? They start bouncing if you have too many.

Might be something in that.  However, I have 15 pages of them dating back 3 years, so the space available is pretty generous.
I'll knock off a few I possibly won't need again...     :think1

Bill does this mean you have sold the Wing?

Rode out the door a couple of hours ago.  It's going to Clermont to a good home.
It took a month and five enquirers to sell, but this guy was fair dinkum.  Nice to see him so excited about it.
No regrets- I enjoyed it while I had it, but know what I liked and what I didn't like.  The "didn't likes" won by enough to wear a loss over the 7 months and 7500 kays of ownership.
Now I've got to replace it with another ST.
The V-Strom suddenly thinks it's boss of the garage, but not for long-  :grin

The Strom is a great bike, but it's not a FarWeapon- not enough range or weather protection.

Denis has given the thumbs-up on the ST in Traralgon, so a deposit has been paid.

I bought it to ride, not get shuttled around in boxes.    :grin

There were a few quite attractive younger fillies, but I'm not a fan of black.  Maybe too easily mistaken for a Harley.    :eek
But really, the Candy Glory Red is hard to beat.  Will match the Strom nicely.
This one comes with cruise control, bar risers, heated grips, sheepie, top box, new tyres, very low kays, blemish-free and Denis' blessing all for $12,000.
None of the other 14 on my short list came near it.
It was meant for me- it had been on the 'net since November last year!      :runyay
