The hints suggest Poochera (not Alan's, I was never any good at doing cryptic crosswords).

I'm not much good at cryptic either but I did search for a "how to"

Before means the first clue goes before the second.

The Greek goddess is "Hera" from a search using those letters; clue = "a" after "her" which gives "hera"

Not Halls Gap. Given that the building in the background gives little away, I'll give an early clue). The black bike is a Yamaha MT03, bought for Julie to get back into riding after a 40 year break. This ride was her first outing. Actually its been her only outing in 10 months. I've  done the right thing by Julie & the bike and taken it out occasionally.

Sure.  Back on Alan's photo, neither the ant nor the carriage are in the same place as they were anymore.  The ant has been moved to the property next door and bolted down.  It needs a dab of paint but has a sign about dinosaur ants behind it.  The carriage has fared worse.  It's well away from the roadhouse entrance and highway and left to rot in the bush.

Not Cadell. This place was very popular in the 30's and 40's for the genteel folk of Adelaide to catch a train to in summer, to escape the heat on the weekend. Unfortunately that rail service no longer exists, although trains still travel past the old station (goods trains and occasionally The Overland).

Leo, yes a brilliant skit, very innovative theme, very very clever delivery.  Is / was it only the Two Ronnies that could deliver it?   I don't think there are any current comedians that could hold a candle (four candles, seen that one?) to them.

Jimmy Carr is very good, but crude.  I wonder how good he would be without the language?
