Been reading up on their bluetooth helmet communication system and it gets reasonably good reviews for such an inexpensive system. Any thoughts?

I've probably be read the same reviews.  Probably can't fail at the price really,  they do have an exchange period.

I'm more than happy with Kevlar x2 jeans,  one normal weight,  one heavy & my winter jacket. Mate more than happy with his helmet.  Gloves I got last year let down by the velcro tabs.

Generally, at the price compared to bike shops,  seems good value & price.

Been a long time since I heard a female referred to as a "bag".
Anyhow, would a middle sized one be OK?  I can understand you're not wanting too big a lady when it comes to holding the bike up at the traffic lights.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I bought one from a previous sale and never took it out of its box.  If anyone wants it to make a pair, it's $20 pick up in Brisbane or you pay postage.

Can you hijack your own thread?

Back on track....  : :dred11

Mission accomplished. Bank balance seriously depleted.

Went with a mate, who was also buying up big.

We were like a couple of kids given free range in a toy shop.  I think between us we bought about one of everything, and sometimes two.   :beer

I've been at work all day but did have a couple of minutes at Hallett Cove. A power outage meant the store wasn't open.

Got to the local Aldi at 8am, found about 50 people queued up waiting for the doors to open at 8.30. Most made a beeline for the cheap mowers, while the rest (of us) acted like feeding sharks around the bike gear, but there was plenty for everyone. The interesting part was watching the guys strip down to try on the bike jeans - it would've been more entertaining if the girls did the same :-[

I have had the Bluetooth helmet communications system for about 4 and a half years. still working well and charging up. have two sets, one charging and using the other set. If I have a pillion, I use both sets. Clarity is good and clear. Only problems I had is the mounting bracket is poorly designed and broke after a few months of use. I now attach the unit onto my helmet with Velcro. works very well. The volume and song selection nob tab inside is also easily fatigued so be careful when changing the volume and do not over-extend the turning limits. Other than those two issues, both of mine are still working fine and communications either by phone or headset to headset is excellent for the price paid. Was going to buy another head set this time but was too late getting there.

I've also had the bluetooth headset for about 4 years. Works well for voice but if you like music while you ride, it is poor quality for that. If I'm out and about on my own, I prefer to pop in some ear buds for my music. Just can't take calls, but then I'm out riding, so who cares.  :grin  It will only pair with 1 other Aldi set so that may also may be a downside for some if wanting to chat to a few on a group ride. But for the money, I reckon it is ok.
Getting wind in my hair while I still have some.
