Originally built as a rest stop for travellers on the Geelong-Melbourne road, the Little River
Hotel has become an iconic establishment cherished by both locals and visitors.

A little bit of Trivia:
Australian rock band "The Little River Band" is named after Little River after
they saw the name on a road sign on their way to a gig in Geelong.

Little River also featured in the movie "Mad Max", starring Mel Gibson,
with Little River Road being used as the movie's infamous "Highway 9"

Bike's fine. The temperature, of me, is the problem.
Really struggling with the cold weather.
If Saturday turns into a 20-odd-day, the bike will be fine.
Last, I looked was about 15 max. Wet too, I think. Don't care about the rain, but it drops the temp badly.
Have put a new battery in the Bav, after 6 years, it was due.
Have a few other bits to do, just maintenance, oil, brake pads are usable but thin. Still waiting for warmer weather to tackle the air box and throttle control, new ACC cables and cruise cable to go in whilst it's open.

It's a judgment call, Saturday morning.
Either way, I`ll be there.

A small (by VIC standards) RTE today, Gary & Chris, JD & Vera, Wendy, Nigel and me in attendance, a couple of late scratchings, Dan with kid duties, Helen with grandkid duties.

HUGE servings, can recomend the Outback Chicken Parma (standard parma plus a coupla friend eggs and bacon), a beaut side salad & chips, all for $30.00.

Had to detour from planned route home via Glenmore Road due to a flashing fuel guage, filled-up at Bacchus Marsh, home by 5:20pm.  Great ride (around 195km for the day, 1st big ride on the CFMoto), great venue, great feed (see above), and last but not least, GREAT company.

See yuse at Upper Beaconsfield next month.

We scored Russell & Sue at our Mintaro RTE.

The food was good - the Sticky Date Pudding looked great, and the company was good.

It was a larger RTE for SA standards, unfortunately the local Mintaro ST riders didn't make lunch, but I caught up with one over dinner.
