Tooradin - Thursday Bikes & Coffee
« on: November 22, 2025, 04:53:29 PM »
Since October 2017, a small group of Adventure Riders have been meeting at Tooradin, SE of Melbourne for a coffee on a Thursday morning.  Over the months and years the group has grown, on Thursday 30 October 2025, the number of bikes was reported to be 300.

Updates are provided weekly on this thread in ADVRider: https://www.advrider.com/f/threads/tooradin-victoria-%E2%80%93-thursday-coffee-mornings.1743903/

Click on the link, scroll through the thread, and check out the eye candy.

The meeting place is in the park opposite the Old Jetty Café (some of the VIC's will recall an RTE there a few years back).  All friendly like-minded people are welcome to attend, admire and chat about motorcycles. There are a few simple and informal rules – be polite (it’s a public place), ride quietly (no hooning), park on the grass (not the footpaths), admire the motorcycles and enjoy yourself.

I'm planning to be there next Thursday, providing the weather is fine and sunny. I don't plan to be there if it's wet, there's always another fine & sunny Thursday.

The Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club also have their coffee morning every Thursday at the same venue.
Probably why there are so many old classics in attendance... :whistle

Yeah, the same event.  A fella by the name of Kev Miller must've been a member of ADVRider and the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club.  Past tense as on the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club webpage it's called the Memorial Kev Miller Tooradin Thursday Coffee Morning.

Either way, I'm planning for next Thursday, weather permitting.

Yeah, a good morning, I'll post some pics.

FMD, the Forum seems to be sensitive to posting some pics, I'll be back later with the pics when I've worked it out.

In the meantime, I managed to get the pics loaded onto AusTouring.  Pete (from AusTouring) had heeps of pics too, you can see 'em all on this link.

Last Thursday was a good day, except for the wind that stripped the bark of trees for a 100km radius.  Yeah, tomorrow looks better.

Not having problems posting pics on AusTouring or ADVRider, too hard on OzSTOC.

Hey Brock, something you can look into?

Are you using a hosting site for the pics, Michael?
I've found I've had a similar problem posting up pics and I think it may be the hosting site not being happy with the number of photos of mine that they already have stored.
I've also noticed many of the photos I've posted up in older threads are now not showing up... :-[
So, I'm guessing I've probably used up my allotted storage?

Anyhow, I swapped over to another hosting site (https://www.imghostr.net/) and I haven't had any issues since...  :thumbs

Pic posting problems that I've been experiencing have only been with the OzSTOC forum, other forums (albeit only two) are okay, ie. to me, the problem is with OzSTOC.

And yes, it's quite an event, one the largest collections of fine motorcycles that I've been to for many a year.
