Mmmm, you have got my attention. 

There is the Golden Dragon Rally (at Tarnagulla) on 4, 5, & 6 October, Spaghetti Rally (at Edi Cutting) on 11, 12 & 13 and now Metung on 19 & 20 October.   Probably can't fit in all three "in", but two-out-of-three-ain't-bad, I'll drop the Spag, and add Metung.

Might also be a couple of others, riders of "unmentionable" bike brands - it'll be okay, we can make sure they park out of sight.

I've checked accommodation at the Metung Hotel, looks okay, rates reasonable - especially if you share.  Might need to exchange a few PM's SMS's and 'phone calls  to organise a few details over the next few weeks.

I was just thinking today that I should look up what rallies are on and get to a few.  Been a long time for me as well.  So many other events to go to...

You could easily, legally knock 30 min off  the Google map time, but with a couple of pit stops it would probably be a 6 hour ride.

...will see if me neighbour over the fence is interested. ...if he hasn't already seen this and made an executive decision...I will however get off my fat arse (neighbor over the back fence reference), and get to Tarnagulla this year

Overnight is ok by me.  Should have come to Inverell as I took 2 good bottles of red and a Penfolds port - may just have a few bottles left of something a bit rarer...

g,daymarcus , would think it would be a good ride, but an overnighter i think , the pillions butt might be complaining a bit by then. be good to get back on the bike , been a while just recovering from dual knee replacements a month ago , so should be back in the saddle by then, contact 0448827545,

I hope some of the previous bookings were for some of you guys and gals, as alternative accommodation options are limited - if they are not to be too expensive anyway.

There may be an option of extras on the floor - for those that bring a sleeping bag and mattress.

This could be as low as $37.50 or up to $62.50 per head per night - depends on a budget, delux, superior, luxury, etc, villa and how many are sharing.

Pub is $40 per head per night.

I'm in. I was planning to ride to Brisbane latish October so what better reason to head off then - I'll be nearly half way by then!!! right?
I will have my swag and tent with me so I won't book any accommodation, just need a little bit of grass to park on, or just keep heading north if everyone goes home after lunch.
