How long has your oil been in and is it the right oil ?? How long since last ride ?? Was last ride it the rain and muck ??  :think1

Just trying assess if this is an Oil issue OR a gear selecter that needs removal cleaning and a spray ??

Oh and welcome to the forum  ;-* Can I suggest you drop into the introduction section and intro your self......lets face it people will always be willing to help a person they know or at least know a little about......having a ST makes a great starting point to a conversation here  :thumbsup

Another thing to think about, look at is the clutch fluid. When was it last changed, or bled. There may be some air in the line stopping full clutch movement.
