New caliper seals
« on: June 16, 2014, 07:22:11 PM »
Hi all

I'm wondering if anyone has any tip or hints for replacing the caliper seals on the front and rear brakes. I replaced the pads the other week with ones from Metal Gear, but have managed to get some garbage into the pistons while doing it. The front left caliper is binding and I had a low seed come off in the wet as a result, no real damage done apart from pride  :fp.  any infomation would be appreciated.

Check that the piston is sitting square, and the pad is square when fitted.

Beefa I'm going to pull my front calipers apart this week, I did my rear laST weekend and it seems ok.  :think1 I'm only 5 mins away from you in Leumeah, if you'd  like to come round we could tackle both yours and mine together and see if we can fix both. Wednesday I have Dr's at Liverpool so not wednesday  but any other day is good  :like
