Could I ask if anyone knows the overall length of the ST1300 badge on the main cowl on the bike?

I guess you mean the transfer just below the mirror on either side, they are 175 mm long

Yes, it's the one below the mirrors. I'm grateful for the help, both. Thank you. U.S versions seems to have a decal which is slightly smaller at 172mm. Hmmm!

I was using a steel tape measure and didn't want to scratch any thing so I would say it is the same size as the US ones.

I sell badges specifically for the ST1300. Riders all over the world seem to like them and I'm starting doing another line which is again for the ST1300. Problem is that in UK we can't get samples of this particular badge because they refuse to sell into a market they're not intended for - which is why I needed to ask for advice fom both the U.S and Australia.

Owners have expressed a wish that HONDA would provide a proper, solid cowl badge for the non-Euro version but they don't, not like the facelift they gave the Pan badge years ago, when it became solid and not just a decal.

So if they won't supply them, I will try to. Slightly modified to enhance the thing and available in stock single characters in resin or with a 'rippling in the wind' national flag of the owner's choice visible though the slightly enlarged holes in the zeros on the flagged version.

To an eye that's not that bothered about detail they'll look identical except for being resin, but I've got rid of a couple of little things that seem to bug some people like different arm lengths on the '3', the fact that the 'ST' and the numbers seem to incline at different angles, etc.

These ones being bigger than the others I sell, are being made by a firm which makes badges for the external skins of Jumbo Jets so they should stick ok!!

Anyway, when I go South for a family visit next week, I'm picking up the samples and looking at the maker's operation to make sure that I'm happy with them. After that the camera will be out to do the ads, etc.

So that's what it's for. Don't want to take advantage of the forum for selling. I don't do it as a business, I just like doing stuff like this as a hobby.

If the mods feel this is an inappropriate post, I am sorry, it wasn't intended and I am happy for it to be deleted.

Regards and thanks again.

If you think 1100 owners (type not number) might want, I can get those done very easily as the artwork is almost already there. I'll email the makers tonight to get a mockup done.

Would someone be able to measure one and perhaps even post or and send me a close-up photo? My email is pjstallard@sky.com?

Bulk buys for the forum at mates rates is always a poss.

It all seems really unfair to me. Arsen has done more for that club than anyone else for theirs (except Sir Alex) and people are turning on him now when they should be asking questions of the players (or should I say prima donnas). Average Manager's job nowadays is a poisoned chalice if you ask me!

Oops. Did that get to the stage of being a rant?!

Calming down now - just take a deep breath!

The maker has just emailed that the 1100 is more straight forward as we already have the artwork for the 1300 to call on.

I don't know about doing the more squiggly version of the ST for the 1100 badge, it will be the one that shares the ST shape more or less, with the 1300 decal style. The colouring of the 1300 badge I think goes nicely anyway with any colour bike so I'd like to use the same colour scheme. Of course unlike the 1300 badge all characters on the 1100 version would be the same size. But thoughts welcome. Unless I hear different I'll go for the same size @ 172mm overall length and black outlining to all the characters.

No. The ones I do are these for the panniers. The ones I'm going to do are the cowl badges which just say st1300 or ST1100.

I also do the pannier resin badges which say HONDA not Pan-E.

My problem with the ST1300 decals on my Candy Apple Red is they are almost unreadable because they are such a poor contrast with the paintwork.  I deduce your colour scheme contrasts better.

At £9.75 a pair (based on the pannier ones) I'd hope for a decent improvement.  Any pix available yet?

These new ones are far more complex than the Pannier badges. Costings haven't been done yet so all that has got to be worked out but I do know they can't be anywhere near that price. The new ones will be individual resin characters not just a single resin dome. I get the protos next weekend and I'll post some photos then. Nice try though. :)

Just had a period of cool, dry here so the bike's started to get a bashing at last.

First problem here is all the salt they chuck down as soon as it gets anywhere near freezing. Doesn't rain that much in Aberdeenshire and it takes an age for it to disappear so if you want the bike to last you've got to pick your days!

Second problem is you don't get far anyway before a nice restaurant appears and you just have to stop. Lol.

I was just reading about the big drought in the south of England.
They're even telling the Pommies down there to forget the Annual Bath.
It's getting serious when it comes to that!!   :crazy

When we had our drought back in 2007 to 2009 we thought that was the normal riding conditions.
Nope- summers are wet here in Queensland, apparently.
Winter is pretty safe to plan a dry ride.
