Wombat,

Mate -
I required a lefty about four years ago - more scarce than the proverbial chicken tooth.

A newie - if still available will set you back around $1500.00 (each)

trawl the net - evil bay - wreckers - Ulysses and local bike clubs - good luck.

Good hunting.
Regards
Robert

Would be way cheaper to buy a high mileage 1100, and strip it for parts

Way cheaper in the UK.......about $450 each plus postage the last time I looked. About $1800 for one over here.

Just bumped this topic back

Left pannier base broke on Border Run 2015 so now I need one pair for the project and one left for Wombat.

Looking local first, Aus second and England third

Cheers all

Hi wombat.  I was down at a Japanese bike shop on Churchill road Adelaide last week and just inside his workshop was a complete maroon st1100  complete with panniers. He has a selection of parts and a few seats..

Thanks Richo I may contact them but I am in Perth. Do you know the name of the shop?

Glen
I hope you are travelling well and causing havoc from some far away place. My 1100 will do me till I can't keep it up  :whistle and thats a long way off. Need to do some investigation but I think I have smashed the drive so I was lucky enough to purchase another drive with Panniers. As soon as I get some photos from Pezzz I will post a ride report from the Border Run.

The way you are going, you could leave a bike in each state.

Mrs PIT CREW is going to enjoy her overseas holidays now.

I havn't seen Mrs Pit crew on the spanners yet and I havn't seen Yorkie push starting a ST1100 in his pink dressing gown so I can't compare to see who is better.

May be a good challenge at the 2016 event.
