I have been unfortunate enough to ride in a fair bit of rain, pouring and flooding in fact, for days on end. I had no trouble with the jacket keeping the water off me inside the liner, but the outside did get wet, as you would expect. I did the waterproof liner taking care to get the zipper part folded over and velcroed. The Trophy has good weather protection, but the rain was so heavy and persistent that it fell on me directly. Boots did fill with water, but not the jackets fault - new boots now in use. To keep the hands dry, need rubber gloves long enough to go inside the waterproof liner, so that the water goes on the outside of the gloves. A few days of wet but clean hands with normal 'waterproof' gloves sent me in this direction. If you go inside out of the rain, puddles will form on the counter and floor from the jacket and pants dripping off water.
