SS 2000 attempt.
« on: October 05, 2015, 09:23:58 PM »
Righto boys and girls,

Tomorrow morning  6/10/2015 at about 0800 NSW time I will set off on my SS2000 attempt from Sydney to Townsville.

This is the return leg of the SS1600 I completed last week.

I am not sure I will manage to complete this in the time frame but I will give it a bloody good crack.

I am very aware of my limitations and will be monitoring my fatigue levels closely.

ST2UP .... Message sent to you re contact.

My route will be up the centre of NSW to come out into QLD and head up to rocky. Then up the main highway to Tsv.

If I manage this great ..... If not I will ensure I record at least a SS1600.

Will check in when I am arrived in Tsv.

Was that DST or AEST?

I wondered over the weekend how long it would be before this old chestnut appeared  :nahnah

Seeing as how Spanner was in NSW and sent his depart time of 08:19 to me at 08:21...... I guess it would be DST  :p

Right now back to educating the cows to come into the bails earlier and fix my fading curtains..... :H

I did a 2100km in 24hrs couple of weeks ago (awaiting IBA certification) and I was glad to be home.

Its just a road.

That gives him a handy 49 minutes margin.

The few hours around dawn will be the hardest from my experience when I did the Middletown ride as an SS2000.

Only asked bikos when I have to cross time zones I use the destination time as my clock saving me wasting mental electricity while I'm riding along second-guessing myself for hours.
