Having just come into ownership of a 2004 ST1300A I need to add a few items.
Today I bought the 08A30-MCS-100 - WIRE HARNESS, ACCESSORY from Partzilla. Last one in stock so bought it. Cost about $AUD31 delivered
Not many items to do on this one.
08P73-KBV-800 - Protective Film for the top of the side cases - might get next.
12 volt power socket - OEM one is a bit pricey but it least it's plug and play.
Another TomTom Rider 450 mount - can use the GPS on both bikes then.
Misgel GPS mount http://www.migsel.com/store/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=49
17mm screw in ball mount (if one exists) to add my current phone mount to the Migsel
Cruise Control - hopefully from this years grain harvest.
Classic Towbar
Alan,
A
tongue-in-cheek comment from me - the ST1300 is such a complete bike, it does not NEED any modifications or extras, it's just that you might WANT some.
Having said that, I WANTED some mods and / or extras and have added:
- Heated grips - why oh why didn't Honda put them on as OEM???
- A Russel Day Long saddle - front and rear, and both Mrs W and I are very happy.
- A GiPRO gear indicator - the revs were so low compared to previous CB1300, it was taking me a long time to adjust.
- Assorted RAM mounts to get the right combo of GPS and phone mounting positions.
- Pillion foot plates, instead of foot pegs - more comfortable and less tiring for the pillion.
- Extended screen.
- Tow hitch.
Re. the tow hitch - IMHO, due to two bad experiences with the Classic tow hitch on the CB1300, you can do much better than a Classic. My tow hitch, bought from another OzSTOC member (think is was JWM from Nowra way), was a USA made item, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, betterer than a Classic. If you are interested, I'll try a bit harder finding the manufacturer's name - so far 5 minutes on Google hasn't yielded any success.
