It will be well into the day by the time you get up here on top, shady corners on the bottom end of Thunderbolts way are probably your biggest concern.
As far as riding conditions go wind chill will be your biggest nemesis this time of year.......it's near midday here now in Guyra we still are not at double figures yet although the sun is out and not a cloud to be seen, add 100kph to this ambient temp and it smashes the riding smile quick smart and in a hurry

Layers are the answer, and get them on before you feel cold, feet and hands can be easily forgotten too. Even just jumping in your wets makes a big difference breaking the breeze.
In Walcha on your left past the roundabout Grey's cafe is good, even better Kentucky general store for Curly Fries and a ripper burger. First roundabout into Glen Innes has a ripper pie shop on the left, likewise Deepwater has a super bakery on your right as you leave town.
