The clutch cable on the Silverwing is seized solid, and I was a little worried that finding one might get expensive in ways that I don't want to think about, but Wemoto had one in stock, in Sydney, for $43.00. For a fourty plus year old bike, that was never released here. I think I should buy a Lotto ticket.

On an ST note, the Boss bought me a dashcam rig for Fathers Day, and I spent a couple of hours this afternoon fitting up the rear camera.

Spent the afternoon yesterday fitting up the dash-cam and the Carpuride screen that turned up on Wednesday. My third attempt at a Carplay/ Android Auto screen after two failures.

A quick run to Berri this afternoon and it all seems to work quite well.

Managed to get the screen to go on the original bracket, and I have a shorter ball mount coming for the phone.

I'm tall enough that I look over them and the screen quite easily, thank you. :nahnah

But I might experiment with turning the phone sideways.

Do you need the phone mounted there at all, Dave?
Mine lives in my pocket while riding, especially now I have the Android Auto screen.

Maybe not, but I do use a gps speedo on long trips, and I like to keep it charged.

Fair enough...  :beer

Oh, just a heads up, if you use "Waze" it shows your actual (gps) speed plus the posted speed limit...
It's also handy as you'll also receive warnings such as police ahead, accidents, even bad potholes!
I've been using it for a while now and can recommend it... :thumbs

I have no chance of seeing that waze speedo on my phone, Rusty, unless it blows up to the whole screen.

Are you not viewing it on the Android Screen itself, Dave?  :think1

Anyhow, seems you're not on your own as a Google search will find plenty of people asking the same question.  :think1
Unfortunately, you can't change its size...

In saying that though, I don't have any real issues with it...
Do you wear glasses?  :popcorn

I am not seeing it on the Carpuride screen, and yes, I do wear glasses, and bi-focals at that.

That's strange, Dave!
Waze shouldn't be showing on your phone if it's connected to the Android Screen correctly...  :think1

I'll post a couple of pics up shortly showing what is displayed on mine...

I have only just come across these screens, interesting. What screen do you have? I assume it is waterproof and connected to your phone via bluetooth?

Hi Glen...
Here's a link: http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=15117.msg1373279#msg1373279 Reply 56 onwards.
Regarding your questions, yes, fully waterproof and connection is via Bluetooth...You have a choice of either a 5" or 7" screen.

Thanks, just ordered a 702 via Amazon as I had some credit to use. Got it for $295 less the credit I had. Look forward to setting it up.

After that diversion into navigation programs, back to the shed stuff...

Two new tyres on my eldest son's 2012 Suzuki 250, that was still on the (badly cracked) originals... It has only done 11k Kms, and none in the last two years because the tyres weren't safe.

The Silverwing engine is on the bench, and I am currently making a special tool to remove the clutch, as it is sticking very badly. If it is anything like the clutch on the Goldwing, it will need to be stripped, the plates cleaned and re-oiled, then re-assembled.

Of course, I am also being interupted by life, so I am making haste slowly.

Back to Navigation programs for a minute...

Waze can find the way from 'home' to a destination with no issues, but if  I tell it to take me home again, it returns a 'route not found' message. It has done this a few times now, from various places. Luckily, I have a pretty good map of SA in my head, and have managed to find my way with out it.

If i remember correctly, you need to get into "profile" and add your address there.
If that doesn't work, there are a few youtube videos explaining how to do it.
Good luck!  :X

Done that, Rusty. It knows where 'Home' is, it just can't get there from here, no matter where 'here' seems to be. Even if 'here' is on the road home (there is only one).
