Pault, I have one on my 4WD,
BUT
, it is the horizontal position, faces rearwards and is protected by the sump.
It does take longer to drain, so make sure your oil is warm/hot.

If you really want to do that why not go to an engineering supply shop and get a normal ball valve and screw it into the sump. They sell for less than $10.00 for a 12mm one.

The ST11 sump plug is too exposed to use one of those for my liking. I was thinking of getting one for the car as it has a protective plate for the sump/oil filter.
