Beautiful Brisbane
« on: July 18, 2013, 03:18:15 PM »
For those not lucky enough to live here, you can get a good idea of what you're missing in this link.

It's actually pretty special photography and software.  Click the triangle at the top and the full screen icon at the bottom.
Turn up the sound.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Amazing tech alright Biggles.   :thumb

Sure seems like Brisbane has come a long way since I lived at the Gabba and Hawthorne 30 odd years ago. That was b4 Southbank existed and the most interesting thing u could do on the river was go for a ferry ride. The most enjoyable thing to do in the city centre those days was to go to the Botanical Gardens and sit under a tree. Looks like a fair few more choices now.
Those were the days when Russ Hinze was minister for Roads, Local Government, Licensing and Gambling and Racing and anything else he wanted because Joh said "Oh no, no, no ... you can't say bad things about Russell, he's a fine honest man working for the good people of Queensland - D-D-D-Don't  you w-worry about that Y-Yarna".  |-i    :crackup :rofl

I think I might be indecisive, I'm not sure, maybe - maybe not.

At least they can play football and don't need to send on streakers to prevent crucial tries being scored against them.   :p

(All that might be lost on our Western brethren.)

If you look very carefully, just to the north of the City, you can see where Queensland stops.......just north of the Sunshine Coast......
