Bendigo is a good run from Yass. I have family and friends there. A few different ways to get there, all good.

I doff my hat to you young Jason, you're going well.  I'm impressed that you're prepared to stop when you need to, don't set targets that you stick to come what may, pull in when you're body and mind say they've had enough.

Ride safe, and enjoy the experience.  Great effort for a first time trip.

Nice travelling at this hour. This is one of my traits on long rides in warm weather, leave nice and early  and beat the heat.

I wasn't the only one who saw it. Several cars pulled over. Asking each other what was that. I said it was a Victorian cow. Lol.

Tourists......

Where am I 😃

:hijacked    My mates and I saw a MASSIVE jet black feline cross the road, one to two hundred meters in front of us, in the Kimberleys.  I'd guess it stood almost half the height of the white posts.    There's weird or unexpected stuff out there.

Strange that you mention a large HUGE black cat, Pete... I saw something very similar near Mitchell River national park, 20 km north west of Bairnsdale in Vic in '94
Was enough to convince me not to set up camp in the area.

I'll take a mad stab and guess you were on the outskirts of Wangaratta.

If that's the dirty scoundrel, Ned Kelly, then Glenrowan would be a fair stab.

Is it a statue of Sir Paul Edmund Strzelelcki, and therefore the location is Jindabyne?

Nah.  That would be a major side-track for young jf who has his eyes on the finish line, methinks.

........... then back to kosciusko ............  to mt gambier.

Jason's original plan did include Kosiusko, but then again it is 320km of twisty riding from Wangaratta.
