Does anyone require the services of OzStoc couriers for Uralla ?
I will be bringing the ST204 silly-car down with Tipsy riding shotgun if anyone needs anything delivered  :beer

Morning folks,

Just back from a morning surf and feel invigorated...or is that snap frozen?  The water is still about 22 degrees but the ambient temp....6 or 7.

Not too many sleeps for the Uralla run, really looking forward to the weekend.  See most of you at Dorrigo for lunch I guess.  A couple of us are travelling from the Gold Coast via Iluka, Grafton and Coffs.  Are we having a group ride into Uralla from Ebor perhaps?

The group ride from Ebor sounds like a nice idea, though the logistics of getting everyone to Ebor at the same time will be the greatest challenge. We should be riding through Ebor somewhere between 1:30 and 2pm Saturday arvo if everything goes to plan along the way after meeting up with Greencan and Laurie in Kyogle around 10am. So we might even see you guys along the way?

I will likely be very slack at meet up at North Dorrigo for lunch, unless I wake up early and feel the need for a 400km ride in the cold..unlikely!

I'm booked into the Bushranger Motor Inn, Uralla, Fri 11 and Sat 12 Jul.
I'll be towing the bike and leaving it and the trailer at a secret destination on the way to have some work done to it.
I can also offer a gratis passenger/courier service Canberra, Goulburn, Bathurst, Mudgee, Gunnedah, Barraba, Uralla and return via the same route.
Please add me to the dinner list on Sat night.

Unchanged. Staying there Thursday and Friday nights at the moment.  400km ride to Uralla would be via the Ozley, but a bit too early a start unless it warms up a lot!

The forecast of 10 degrees for Uralla is toasty warm against the area's of 3 degree temps Marissa and I rode through last night on our way back from Byron Bay. Until we hit the lower end of the Gold Coast it was single figures all the way. It was good preparation for Marissa for next weekend as Marissa has been pillion in cold weather, but has never ridden in cold temperatures before. She is determined to ride her VFR to Uralla and after last nights effort I'm sure that she is going to cope with it fine.

Just real glad that I have chosen to live on the coast...Uralla's MAXIMUM day temps are what we are getting as a MINIMUM overnight....and we think that's cold. One does get a bit complacent with the mild weather and man is it a rude shock when you hit that cold and then there's the wind-chill....brrrr!  Thermals the order of the weekend me thinks!  Shoulda opted for those heated grips....bugger!

Safe ride to Uralla everyone, the weekend should be a hoot!

Funny you should mention heated grips Jochen50. I was wondering around Moto Barn the other day with a set of Oxford heated grips in my hand with every intention of buying them for my ST.

At $120 for a set I can't really understand why there not standard equipment on just about ever bike sold? Still I put them back and walked out empty handed (which was a first for me in itself).

Hey Barry and Marissa,

Yep, I know, the heated grips are a bone of contention for me....every year, without fail, I go somewhere on the ST where the winter temperature/weather is a bit dismal, and every year I swear that 'as soon as I get back home I will get heated grips',  but I don't worry once I can smell the sea breeze.  I may be a bit s l o w......I still don't have a set!!!  Perhaps 2014 is the year I get 'em on the bike, $120 is pretty damn cheap..I will look into it and thanks for the heads-up, Moto Barn here I ciome.

Same as you, I have always wondered why the ST's don't have that little luxury as standard equipment...that WOULD make the ST's absolutely perfect!!  catch up with you for a chat at Uralla.

MINUS 11 at Glen Innes last night, and Guyra is usually colder than Glen.

Maybe it will warm up before the weekend.

I can laugh- the ride I'm committed to is coastal in daylight.
