In the case of a Nuclear Holocaust, come to Portland, it is a nuclear safe zone... no missile would dare to detonate here and put an end this confusion.
First of all, I had an appointment today with my Real Estate agent at 1.20 pm, followed by Doctors appointment timed at 2.30.
No problem.
Yesterday, the medical office rang, and changed my appointment to 11 am.
OK.
Then the real estate called to change my appointment to 12.40pm
Right..
Saw the surgeon, (eventually) at around 11.50am.
Three minutes consult.
He gave me some paperwork to fill out for Pre-Admission at the Hospital for Surgery.
Five pages of it.
I walked to Pre Ad reception ... sat there for more than half an hour in plain view of the two women who were giggling at something on the computer.
Could clearly hear the music of the game.
Left the Hospital to attend my other appointment.
In the rain.
Sat in limbo at the RE office for another half hour.
Was there until called in at 1.15 pm.
At 1.25 pm, I was out the door, and home for a coffee, as the last cuppa was four hours ago, and I am cold, wet, and pissed off.
The Pre-admission papers in my jacket pocket are now soaked from the rain, and the ink is starting to run.
If it stops raining immediately before 5 pm, I may try to deliver the papers then, and get booked into the hospital for my op.
Maybe...
I figure if they can stuff me around while they play games on the computer, I can return the favour and hold them back at work late, as the reception office officially closes at 5 pm.
Yes, I AM a rebel!
