Yesterday. Friday 10 Aug. According to the weather report, the coldest temp here in 9 years.
? ... They say 5.8 degrees ... ? Wha..?
I wish the BOM would actually get temperature readings from the town of Portland and not from the airport which is 12.5 km away, or Cape Nelson which is 11 km away.
My own weather sentinel has shown multiple temp drops below zero with wind chill factored in, which has occurred several times in the past two months.

Meantime, I have to sit here in misery freezing my butt off next to the heater, and read about multiple riders from all points of Australia arriving in Mackay where it is currently 25 degrees.

As of this moment, it is 7 degrees here at 2.45pm

With wind chill factor, feels like 4, which is what is indicated by my weather station.
