Bought some groceries at Woolies this afternoon, a little over $100 worth.
On checking the receipt, found I had only been charged for 1 packet of Tim Tams, not the 2 that I purchased.
Went back to Woolies to correct the error, and advised the cashier that she had only scanned one packet.
Paid for the second packet, because thats just me.
This exchange was observed by a senior staffer who I also know, and while the cashier and I were chatting, the senior
walked away from the register for a moment then returned and passed me a pack of mini Mars Bars, and said quietly
"Thats for being honest!"
The biscuits were only worth $1.82 (half price special) whereas the Mars minis retail for around $3.50.
Bonus!
This exchange may have also been influenced by my reporting of a shoplifter a few weeks ago, the thief produced a battery charger worth around $20 at the register, when I had witnessed him pocket 5 or 6 x $25 packs of rechargeable batteries.
